Provisional Psychologists – Counselling

Provisional psychologists at PsychSessions have all completed post-graduate training in psychological therapy, have low client loads, and high levels of supervision enabling them to provide high quality care at low cost and without extended waiting periods.  Additionally, there is no need for a referral or Mental Health Treatment Plan when seeing a provisional psychologist. There are no Medicare rebates for seeing provisional psychologists, however the fees are less than the Medicare gap when seeing one of our psychologists or clinical psychologists, so it’s cheaper for you, and there’s no need to worry about only having a limited number of rebates.

If a higher level of care than that provided by our provisional psychologists is needed, clients are often able to switch to seeing a psychologist or clinical psychologist at PsychSessions at a later date.
